Kota Kinabalu City Night Tour - A Cultural Experience

Catch a different sight of Kota Kinabalu at night fall. Start off by visiting the local night market for a touch of fascinating local color. A chance to put your bargaining skills to test while shopping for those souvenirs on sale. Thereafter, proceed to Signal Hill’s observation deck to watch the glittering splendour of the city nightlife unfolds before you. You can also see the nearby scenic islands.

Enjoy a seafood dinner accompanied by a lively cultural performance of Sabah traditional dances before returning to your hotel.

Northern Tip of Borneo

Duration: 8 hrs

Highlights : Bavanggazo Long house, Gong-making Village, Bee Farm, Tip of Borneo

0800 hrs : Pick up from hotel. Travel northbound from Kota Kinabalu to Kudat and arrive at Bavanggazo Long House of the Rungus tribe. Visit the traditional long house and observe the life style of the native people in Sabah. Proceed to the gong making village and bee farm. Lunch at Kudat town. After lunch, en-route to Sempang Tanjung Mengayau, to the “ Tip of Borneo” where the South China Sea and Sulu Sea meets. Depart for Kota Kinabalu.

Kota Belud Sunday Market

Duration: 0730 - 1230 hrs

0730 hrs: Pick up from hotel. An early morning drive through the scenic Borneo countryside brings you to the Kota Belud Sunday Market or “Tamu”, the largest open-air market in Sabah. This picturesque weekly event is patronized by people from all walks of life – farmers, vendors, hawkers and fishermen. Bargain-hunt for souvenirs from the huge arrays of colorful local handicrafts on sale. An opportunity to observe the diverse culture and lifestyles of the warm and friendly local people. Look out for the Bajau Horsemen, also known as “Cowboys of the East” in their resplendent outfits displaying their horse riding skills on beautifully decorated ponies.
Brief stop at a pottery factory on the return journey back to the city.

Island Getaway (Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park)

An escapist's fantasy – the perfect getaway for those seeking tranquility

0845 hrs. Pick up from hotel to Kota Kinabalu jetty for a 15 minutes boat ride to Manukan Island .Have a fun-filled day strolling on the pristine and idyllic sand beaches or go jungle trekking to explore the tropical rainforest. Other favourite activities available include swimming or snorkeling to capture the attractive and breathtaking sight of coral reefs amidst tropical fishes. BBQ lunch at beach side. Free and easy before returning to City.

Monsopiad Cultural Village

Duration: 4 hrs

Pick up from your hotel for Monsopiad Cultural Village in Penampang District, home to the Kadazan people. Amongst the 30 over ethnic groups in Sabah, the Kadazan is the major indigenous group. Enjoy the scenic countryside, paddy field and buffaloes, fruit orchards and smiling local villagers as you approach your destination - Monsopiad Cultural Village where the “House of Skulls” is located. Be greeted with a welcome drink. Listen to tales of the legendary local hero “Monsopiad” who was known to be the greatest head hunter of the Kadazandusun people of Sabah. Here, you will also get to see the model of a typical Kadazan native house, artifacts and human skulls preserved from the bygone head hunting days. Also an opportunity to obtain a better understanding of the culture and tradition of the Kadazan people. To make your visit more memorable, drop by the souvenir shop to pick up some local handicrafts etc

Sunset Cruise

Duration : 4 hrs

Experience the most memorable and beautiful sunset in Borneo on board a yacht. Be it from the upper aft deck, bow or from the aft platform, the spectacular and breathtaking view of the sun setting is a sight to behold. The tranquility of the sea ; combined with the feeling of the warm and gentle sea breeze will serenade you as dinner or cocktails are served by friendly stewards and stewardess. The cruise starts off to Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park (approx. 30 minutes). At 6.00pm, drop anchor at Sapi Island to view sunset while dinner is ready to be served. As you cruise along homewards, catch a night view of Kota Kinabalu ; reflected by the multiple sparkling colors of lights along the coast line

Day 1
(Kota Kinabalu / City Tour): Meet on arrival at Kota Kinabalu. Check into city hotel. Brief City tour before welcome dinner

Day 2
(Manukan Island): After breakfast, transfer by boat to Manukan Island, one of the 5 islands of Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park. Feed the colorful fishes in crystal clear water. Boat transfer to the nearby island of Sapi; known for its fine sandy beaches and dense tropical rainforest. Choose to do water activities (snorkeling, swimming) or just relax on the beach. Alternatively, take a jungle walk to discover the exotic plant varieties here. Enjoy a BBQ lunch set up at the beach. Return to mainland in the afternoon

Day 3
(Poring Hot Springs / Kinabalu Park): Pick up from hotel in the morning. Enjoy a 2 hours drive through the scenic Crocker Range, the “backbone” of Sabah. On the way, stop at Nabalu Fruit Market. Do not miss the opportunity to sample some of the unique local fruits there. Proceed to Poring Hot Spring. Take a dip in the hot sulphur spring- known for its therapeutic value. You may also visit the butterfly farm or walk on the treetop canopy to catch a spectacular view of the surrounding rainforest and wildlife. Overnight at resort in Kundasang

Day 4
(Kinabalu Park / Kota Kinabalu): After breakfast, explore Kinabalu Park. Appreciate the botanical wonders of the Park. Join a guided walk with the Park’s ranger to identify the various type of pitcher plants, wild orchids, berries and ferns of which some are found only in Borneo. Talk a walk along one of the nature trails to see more plants and perhaps animal life before your return trip to Kota Kinabalu. Overnight at hotel in the City

(Kota Kinabalu / Departure Flight): A day at your own leisure before taking your departure flight.

Day 1
0800 hrs Pick up from your hotel in Kota Kinabalu for overland transfer (approximately 2 hours road journey) to Kuala Penyu jetty for boat ride to Borneo Survivor Resort at Pulau Tiga (approx. 45 mins. depending on sea condition). Check into island chalet (aircondition /attached bathroom with hot water shower). Pulau Tiga was the chosen site for the famous TV SURVIVOR programme

After lunch, guided jungle activities including visit to Mud Volcano. Return to Resort. At own leisure. Beach games available. After dinner, karaoke entertainment / Astro Satellite TV at Café before turning in

Day 2
After breakfast, free at own leisure.

0900 hrs Depart island for Kuala Penyu jetty for onward transfer back to the city
